Internet Marketing Strategies For A Small Business

How interested are small business owners in internet marketing?
I’m a first time author in the process of writing a book for small business owners about internet marketing. The intent of the book is to provide small business owners with an idea of the internet marketing potential for the average small business, how to create an internet marketing strategy for their business, as well as an overview of the various online marketing mediums.
My main concern is how much of a real interest there is with small business owners for a book of this nature, since many of the small business owners I meet don’t have the first clue about the internet and how to bring their business online – and with the right strategy.
Thank you for any advice!!!
This is a great question. Personally, I would be very interested in that type of book. I also suggest you talk to small business owners in your area. I know the book wouldn’t be limited to your area, but they may give you some good feedback on the idea. You would also find out how plugged in they already seem to be. As a follow up to any book, I would suggest starting a blog where you update the information until the follow up book comes out. This type of information gets stale fairly quick. In other words, by the time it was published, a lot of the information could be/will probably be outdated. Set up the blog and highlight it in the back of the book.
Good luck!
